Malaysia is a member of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), a geo-political and economic organisation of 10 countries in Southeast Asia with a population of approximately 600 million people, 8.8% of the world population and with a combined GDP of US$2.1 trillion in 2011.

Located in the heart of Southeast Asia and between two giant economies of China and India, Malaysia is easily accessible from all parts of the world by air, land and sea.
