Powerman Duathlon Asia Championships - Malaysia
4th March 2017 to 5th March 2017 - Dataran Putrajaya

Powerman was first launched in 1989 in Zofingen, Switzerland and considered a premier brand for long-distance duathlons. This event unites the biggest and most well-known long-distance duathlons in the world under the International Powerman Association (IPA).

Malaysia holds a long and strong history since it was introduced in 2002, but came to an end in 2013 when the former organiser decided to forego the rights and license. In 2016, E-Plus Global Sdn. Bhd. brought back the event to Malaysia. Specifically, the Asian Championship where Malaysia is the sole point for Asian duathlon participants to compete. The 2016 edition broke the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Largest Participants of Duathlons Championship” in Malaysia.

There will be 2 distance categories open for youth, elite and team relay (2 or 3 persons). Other than that, this year the organiser will be introducing the Powerman Kids in Malaysia;
• Powerman Classic: 10KM Run, 60KM Bike and 10KM Run (age 18 and above)
• Powerman Short: 5KM Run, 30KM Bike and 5KM Run (age 18 and above)
• Powerman Kids: 1KM Run, 5KM Bike and 1KM Run (age 7 – 9)
• 2KM Run, 10KM Bike and 2KM Run (age 10 – 12)

The top 10 winners who participate for this event will get 4X points compared to the usual Powerman race (250 points) and the top 3 winners will automatically be invited to participate at the Powerman World Championship in Zofingen.
